Mr. Mahendra Singhi At The Launch of Energy Technology Perspectives (ETP) 2020

Mr Mahendra Singhi, MD & CEO of Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL) was a panelist at the launch of Energy Technology perspectives 2020 (ETP 2020) published by International Energy Agency (IEA) headquartered in France.

Mr Singhi congratulated ETP 2020 team on the report publication. He highlighted that the report details 200 clean technologies and will chart out the clean energy mission over the next 50 years. He also felt that the findings will go a long way in opening the minds of corporations, governments and people towards importance of clean and green energy.

Mr Singhi shared his thoughts about DCBL’s transition from ‘Grey to Green’ and pointed out that IEA and many other organisations have helped it bring down the carbon footprint and made it one of the lowest carbon footprint companies globally. He further added that DCBL has taken a lead in thinking beyond carbon neutrality and by 2040, plans to be carbon negative.

Talking about clean energy plans Mr Singhi indicated that by 2035 DCBL will use only bio fuel and will stop using fossil fuel. He also shared that by 2030 DCBL will be using 100% renewable energy.
