Dalmia Bharat Group employees donate a day’s salary to Kerala flood relief fund

Kerala, September 26th 2018: Contributing to the cause of rebuilding the state of Kerala after a spate of floods washed off habitats, Dalmia Bharat Group, a manufacturing conglomerate in Cement, Sugar, Refractories and Power has come out in full support, with the employees of the company voluntarily donating a day's salary for flood relief fund in Kerala today.

Dalmia Bharat sent its south leadership team - Mr R Venkatesan (HR) Mr R Sanjay (Sales) and Mr P Jayachandran (Kerala state Sales) to personally hand over the cheque to the Kerala Chief Minister Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan.

Ajit Menon, Group HR Head, Dalmia Bharat Group said “Kerala was hit with one of the worst floods in a century and there lies ahead, a mammoth task of working towards rebuilding the affected regions to bring back life to normalcy. With Nation Building so close to our heart, we at Dalmia Bharat feel that it is our responsibility to come together to support the state in this hour of need. We hope that our small contribution will provide some relief and rehabilitation to the people affected.”

Dalmia Bharat Group has always held ‘Nation Building’ as its core duty and Dalmia employees have earlier reached out to help rebuild several states that have been affected by natural calamities like Assam, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh and Tamilnadu.
