Dalmia Bharat organises Loan Mela
~Aims to ‘reach the unreached’ at Keelarasur village~
Dalmiapuram, November 16, 2022: Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the CSR arm of the Dalmia Bharat Group aims to reach out to communities requiring financial linkages through a Loan Mela to be held on 17th November 2022 at Keelarasur village of Pullambadi block. This event is organized in collaboration with Axis Bank, Lalgudi Branch. Through the loan mela, DBF aims to create accessibility for establishing credit linkages to unreached people. 100 beneficiaries are expected to be positively impacted through this initiative. This includes groups will give ease in access at village level to women, youth, differently abled, farmers and individual entrepreneurs.
It has been observed that people in need of funding are rendered choiceless to go to money lenders who charge exorbitant rates of interest, especially post COVID-19. Mr K. Vinayagamurthi, Executive Director and Unit Head, Dalmiapuram, DCBL commented on the initiative “We are dedicated to the people of Dalmiapuram and will seek to help them grow and thrive. Direct access to finance at competitive rates and simpler processes will give several individuals and small business owners the opportunity to create a sustainable livelihood option and make their dreams come true.”
This event will also create a platform for bankers to educate audiences on the diverse options related to banking and finance. The credit linkages will mean that the potential beneficiaries will be to avail government financial subsidy schemes directly.
Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF) is on an accelerated path to make India’s ‘Self-reliance’ vision a reality. In September 2022, DBF has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NIIT Foundation to develop state-of-the-art, community-centric skill-building and educational training courses through DIKSHa (Dalmia Institute of Knowledge and Skill Harnessing) which is also planned for Dalmiapuram & Trichy in Tamil Nadu.
