Dalmia Bharat Receives National Energy Conservation Award

Only cement company to receive the Award from Ministry of Power

The Ariyalur plant of Dalmia Cement (Bharat)Limited in Tamil Nadu
has been honoured with the National Energy Conservation Award for the year 2012-13 by the
Ministry of Power, Government of India. The award recognizes salient efforts made by companies to
optimize energy consumption. Dalmia Bharat received the honour for the second year in succession
and is the only company in the cement sector to receive the award.
Mr. Vipin Agarwal, CEO South, Dalmia Cement received the award from the Hon’ble President of
India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee at New Delhi.
“We are committed to utilizing alternative sources of energy with a strong focus on safety,
environment and energy conservation. In line with this, we develop, implement and emphasize on
continually improving our processes and systems to enhance energy performance,” said Vipin
Agarwal. “This award is a testimony to our concerted efforts towards ensuring energy efficiency.” He
added.
